AI Fairness CIO is a research-oriented charitable organisation providing online tools to evaluate fairness metrics in de-identified datasets. We do not provide legal, financial, medical, employment or regulatory advice.

3. User Responsibilities and Required Warranties
3.1 Mandatory Anonymisation Requirement
By uploading or submitting any dataset to the Website, you warrant and represent that:
The dataset is fully anonymised in accordance with UK GDPR, ICO guidance, and any relevant sector regulations (justice, health, finance, etc.).
The dataset contains no personal data, no special category data, no identifying information, and no information relating to any living individual.
You are legally permitted to upload the dataset and have complied with all applicable data protection obligations.
You understand and accept that AI Fairness CIO never stores uploaded datasets, and therefore no data leak can originate from this Website.
If you breach this clause, you remain solely responsible for any legal, regulatory or ethical consequences.
4. Use of the Website
You agree not to:

Attempt to de-anonymise datasets
Interfere with security or access controls
Reverse engineer or misuse the fairness-analysis tools
Use the Website for unlawful, harmful, discriminatory or fraudulent purposes

5. Nature of the Service
The Website provides a technical tool that:
Runs fairness assessments on user-uploaded anonymised datasets
Performs analysis using internal Python pipelines only
Does not transfer datasets to external AI models or processors
Deletes uploaded datasets automatically at logout or session expiry
You acknowledge that:
All analysis results are informational only
The service does not replace professional governance, compliance or legal assessments
You use outputs at your own discretion and risk
6. No Warranty on Outputs
The fairness metrics, scores and diagnostic outputs:
Are generated automatically
May contain limitations, statistical uncertainty or inaccuracies
Are not guaranteed to be complete, correct or suitable for any decision
Should not be used as the sole basis for legal, employment, health, justice or financial decisions
We exclude all implied warranties to the maximum extent permitted by law.
7. Intellectual Property
All content, models, algorithms, text, design, graphics and software on the Website are the property of AI Fairness CIO or its licensors.
You must not:
Copy, reproduce or republish Website content
Sell or distribute any part of the Website
Use the tools to build competing fairness-assessment services

reliance on analysis outputs
your decisions made based on results
third-party service failures
unauthorised access resulting from user negligence
Our total liability is limited to £50, unless mandatory charity or consumer laws require a higher limit.
